2020 proved to be the most challenging year any of us has ever seen- both professionally and personally. With the onset of Covid-19, the unprecedented extent of Oregon’s wildfires and our country’s long overdue reckoning with social justice, all of our lives have been impacted. The Oregon Library Association (OLA) is an advocate to help those in need via the strength of our community of libraries and library workers. With this in mind, the Oregon Library Association (OLA) 2021 Conference has created a list of charities recommended by this year’s conference speakers and guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask that you consider donating to any of these worthy charities that support our own communities, further our work on equity, diversity & inclusion and help strengthen Oregon libraries’ commitment to making a difference in our state and region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frances O’Brien Memorial Library (Blue River) Fundraiser.<\/span><\/a> <\/a><\/span><\/strong>Donate to help Blue River, Oregon, rebuild the O\u2019Brien Memorial Library, which was destroyed in the fall 2020 wildfires. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
