Public Library Division Social Gathering

4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 24

Salem Public Library | 585 Liberty St. SE

This will be an opportunity to meet your public library colleagues from around the state and chat with each other in the beautifully remodeled Salem Public Library. Light snacks will be provided with the $5 registration.  Registration became available on March 8, 2024. Those who purchased admission with registration will be on a list at the door. Those who registered prior to March 8 or decided to attend after registration was made, can purchase a ticket at the door.

Come unwind and chat with colleagues or meet new friends at the All Conference Reception. Many of our exhibitors will also be available. Enjoy conversation, beverages and snacks as we continue to rekindle, rejuvenate and reimagine where we are going the coming year or years.

Everyone is invited to enjoy some snacks and social time with the Oregon Young Adult Network. A no-host bar is also available. The high point of the evening will be the announcement of the winner of OYAN’s You’re Excellent Award (aka The OYEA Award). Come congratulate someone who made a positive and significant contribution to teens in libraries last year!

Game Night for Virtual and In-Person Conference Goers!

7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 25

Santiam 1 at the Convention Center

Combine fun with programming exploration at OLA Game Night. We’ll have a variety of board games from old favorites to new finds to play in person as well as a demonstration area where virtual and in-person attendees can explore how Jackbox Games create an amazing opportunity for hybrid programming and also hilarious entertainment.

President’s Reception: The President Sings Your Praises

7-9 p.m. Friday, April 26

Willamette Ballroom C at the Convention Center

The OLA President is throwing an 1980s themed reception celebrating YOU. Let’s cut Footloose with triumphant 80s decor, awesome photo ops, a chance to mingle with other Oregon library workers, and of course, a karaoke DJ ready to scratch those totally tubular jams sure to keep you singing All Night Long. Or at least until 9.

Light refreshments will be provided. No-host bar service will be available. 80s attire not required.
