Which registration option is right for me? 

NEW THIS YEAR! We are offering an “a la carte” option for registration that is labeled “without meals” for the full conference and/or individual days on the registration form. This option allows you the flexibility to seek out meals on your own in lieu of the OLA Business Meeting and Luncheon on Thursday, the Awards Luncheon on Friday, or the Author Presentation and Breakfast on Saturday. You can also use the Meals & Special Events Only Registration Form now or later to opt in for one, two, or even all three of those meals.

Is there an option to attend the conference virtually as in years past? 

The 2024 conference is primarily onsite but there will be a selection of pre-recorded sessions available to view via the Virtual Conference, available for $50. In addition, the keynote address on Thursday, the Award Luncheon on Friday, and the Saturday morning speaker will be streamed live for those attending via the virtual conference. Virtual attendees are also invited to join our Thursday evening Game Night, playing a selection of Jackbox games via Zoom.

As the list of virtual sessions is confirmed, they will be labeled “Virtual-Recorded” and “Virtual-Live” so you can find them easily on the Programs page. 

I heard there are various registration forms. Which one should I use?

Yes! There are 3 conference related forms. See below to learn about the purpose of each form.  

I’m interested in knowing more about the meal choices. Are there options for gluten-free, vegan, etc.?

Please, see the Meal Menu page for full descriptions of the meals offered at the conference as provided by Salem Convention Center catering department. OLA has been assured the ability to meet dietary restricted diets by the catering department.

I need to pay by invoice. How do I do that?

Register using the online form as usual, and when you get to the payment section, select “Pay Later” as your payment option. An email will be sent to you with a link to the invoice document which can be printed for mailing, or forwarded to your accounts payable department for processing. Invoices may be paid by check or credit card.

I need to register someone else – what do I do?

It is recommended that individual staff register themselves, making meal selections, session selections, etc. If the institution does not want their staff to register themselves, then the registrant will have to provide their OLA member website username and password that allows the admin into their account for registration.

For larger libraries that want to pay by credit card for the group registration, contact the OLA Association Manager at ola@olaweb.org to arrange details. Registrations will need to be submitted online before a group payment may be processed.

What is this “discount code” field?

I have to cancel my registration. How do I do that?

A $20.00 service charge will be applied to all cancellations. Written cancellations must be received by the committee by April 10, 2024 to qualify for refunds. Submit your request to Shirley Roberts, OLA Association Manager, at ola@olaweb.org. Requests for refunds will be processed within 30 days after the conference.
